How long is a typical engagement?
Depth of engagement relies on the problem we’re trying to solve and the service needed. In many cases, the engagement is 2-5 weeks. For leadership team development, our model is to meet five full days per year.
For Leadership Team Development, how does the long-term cadence work?
Like higher education, the goal is to “graduate” you to become self-sustaining. Our model is five full days per year as an engagement, with most organizations “graduating” after two years. Year one compresses three of those days into one quarter, while year two usually involves one day per quarter with one additional day focused on an annual meeting.
We have multiple needs. How do we prioritize?
Our 30-minute “intake” is a perfect way to help provide some guidance (with no obligation) to discern prioritization as well as where things can be combined. We like to take the path of least disruption to your business.
Our organization requires we issue an RFP. How do we submit that?
Save the postage or the click of the “send” button. We do not respond to RFP’s because we have seen empirical evidence that they are the worst way to purchase anything. We wish you the best, but we will not respond. HOWEVER – when you are ready to have a mutual exploration of needs, we are happy to have that discussion and provide a proposal.
Are discounts provided for multiple engagements?
No. With what we do, discounting implies the information and guidance is a bargain and a suggestion, rather than actual guidance. We are not the low-cost provider, although we are also not the most expensive and do not operate on retainer basis.
Since you do not operate on a retainer, do you charge fees for every interaction?
No. When we are doing follow-up on engagements, we do not charge more. The meter doesn’t run with every phone call. However, when a request is made that requires another work stream within a project, we do provide back an estimate of that work.
For leadership development training, there are no additional fees outside of the daily fees. Calling between quarterly meetings for help is part of the deal.
How quickly can you start a project?
We intentionally limit our scale. Most engagements get started within two weeks of an agreement, with some starting sooner.
